From 17 to 22 July 2022 we will welcome the world’s pharmacology and therapeutics community to Glasgow, Scotland for the 19th World Congress of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology, WCP2022.
In this message Professor Amrita Ahluwalia, Secretary General of WCP2022, explains the three ways you can get involved with the congress right now.
Symposium, workshop and debate submissions
The WCP2022 International Scientific Committee is seeking symposium, workshop and debate proposals by 09.00 BST on 7 September 2020. Please read through the following guidelines before beginning the submission process.
Join the WCP2022 Review Committee
We are seeking members who are experienced researchers – both non-clinical and clinical – to join our WCP2022 Review Committee. We welcome applicants from all areas of basic and clinical pharmacology.
If you become a member of the WCP2022 Review Committee, you will:
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the WCP2022 programme. As you review the submissions, you will have insight into the latest research being undertaken in your field of expertise or interest. While contributing to the development of the congress over the next two years, you also have the chance deepen your involvement and connection with the Society. Your work will be recognised in the WCP2022 meeting app, where you will be listed as a member of the WCP2022 Review Committee.

Please note you must have reached early career level (five years post-PhD) to be eligible to apply. Guidance on how to assess abstracts will be provided.
Satellite meeting proposals
We are accepting pre-Congress and post-Congress satellite meeting proposals. Pre-Congress satellite meetings will be held from Saturday 16 July to Sunday 17 July and post-Congress satellite meetings from 2pm on Friday 22nd July.
A satellite meeting is a workshop or small, topically focused regional meeting held independently of WCP2022. It is defined based on its location, timing, and overlap with the intended audience for WCP2022. Satellite meetings should enhance WCP2022 and introduce or continue the scientific content covered in WCP2022. Please read through the following guidelines before beginning the application process.
